Eglinton West is a favorite spot to visit. I love all the shops and food choices. Sadly the areas charm is fading away as gentrification is taking hold of the Caribbean hot spot. The decade’s long construction of the Eglinton Light Rail Project has led to numerous closures and sadly it looks like much of the old area is at risk of being redeveloped into uninspiring condos.

I was impressed with this shot. The old gas station and tire shop in the background is a fixture on Eglinton.

Spences bakery. The drums for chicken have been there as long as I can recall. Late night memories of delicious jerk chicken.

Another familiar sight.

About to order a chicken special

The red sauce at Entertainment Kitchen always hits right.

This photo hits deep. I miss the lineups I endured to get a Randy’s patty. Ive seen many comical interactions while in line over the years. Question, now that Randy’s is no more, who has the best Patties in Toronto?

A sign of the times.
